Coastal Fishing Texas was established in 2005 out of a need for a member friendly web site and forum where my family and friends could hang out, post in the message board, tell fishing lies, drink a lot of beer and just have a good time. Our specialty is surf fishing for sharks, redfish. trout, pompano, spanish mackerel and the rare surf flounder. Our memebers have decades of experience on the beach dating all the way back to the early 1960s. Even though our main specialty is shark fishing we still get our share of skinny water fishing in when we fish the Laguna Madre and the Bays.

The Padre Island National Seashore is our primary beach for surf fishing. It has over 60 miles of open driveable beach. Most of the beach is only accessible by 4x4 truck. It is a very remote and primitive area. If you ever plan to venture down island you need to be prepared for some very bad driving and sudden high tides. The harsh conditions on the beach breeds some very colorfull characters to say the leaste. I am proud to call these folks my friends and extended family.
